Pisak is a small tourist destination on the fabulous Makarska Riviera.

Pisak is perfectly situated to explore the central Dalmatian coast. Trogir, Split, Omis, Makarska and Brela are nice places to visit for a daytrip..

Make sure to visit Vrulje springs, where you will find refreshing water.

 

 

MAKARSKA RIVIERA
 
Brela, also known as the pearl from the Makarska Riviera is only 5 km from Pisak. The 2 km long beach pathway connects the small beaches and caves and leads to the small harbour in the center. From there you have many possibilities to make excursions to the islands.

Other well known places a little bit further away but worth a visit are Dubrovnik (180 km), Split, Mostar and the islands of Hvar and Brac. From Makarska and Split you can take different ferries to these islands. But ofcourse you can also relax and just enjoy the beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters right at your doorstep when leaving The Beach House  Croatia .....
 
If you like beach activities e.g. parasailing, waterskiing, banana boat etc. than head for the main tourist resorts of Brela and Baska Voda. It's only a short 10 min. drive from Pisak, so you can enjoy all the facilities there and come back to relax in the tranquil and unspoilt village of Pisak. In Pisak you can enjoy snorkeling, rent a boat, fishing and also it has posibilities for those who want to go scuba diving. You can make nice walks following the paths into the olive groves and pine forests if you go direction the church.
OMIS
 
A 15 minute drive will get you to Omis. You will find here numerous small restaurants and bars in the narrow streets of the historical center of this town.
There are also many shops and a daily fruit and vegetable market. Other outdoor activities mainly take place around Omis. You can go rafting here on the Cetina river, which formed a canyon before reaching the sea in Omis. Also kayaking and mountainbiking are options. You will find many small agencies in Omis offering these trips. The rafting finishes at Radmanovice Mills, an old watermill that has been renovated for touristic purposes. Here you can have a nice meal under the shady trees close to the river.
There are also boat trips on the river, you can make walks and kids can ride pony.
 In the port of Omis, ships leave to sail to the island of Brac for a fish picnic. You can also be a pirate for a day, and sail along with the pirates of Omis, kids will love it! Brela, Baska Voda and Makarska are also good places to book a tour.
BIOKOVO NATURAL PARK
 
Nature lovers will certainly enjoy Biokovo Nature Park. The entrance of this park is situated close to Makarska. From here you can drive with your car up to the highest peak Sv. Jure (1762m) along the Biokovo Road. This scenis 24 km road has many breathtaking viewing points. Besides hiking and mountain climbing, you can also go hanggliding and there are posibillities for speology.
